Thiago Pliego had in the 7thth minute some difficulties stopping Nike Cavia's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. Nike Cavias short, quick shot in the 17thth minute got Thiago Pliego to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Reynaldo Jaume made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Mariano Lacasa in the 19th minute of play. 20 minutes into the match, Szittyák SE rege's Nike Cavia sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Thiago Pliego narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 22nd minute, Guillermo Fontirroig hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 25th minute Nike Cavia shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Thiago Pliego saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The supporters of Chile booed when Szittyák SE rege was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 28 match minutes in a wonderful position. Arnold Cziránku didn't get a good kick on the ball. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Mariano Lacasa was the one to do the kick off. Thiago Pliego made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Nike Cavia in the 55th minute of play. Reynaldo Jaume showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Mariano Lacasa, who was totally free with the ball in the 57th minute. When the match had gone on for 58 minutes, Mariano Lacasa took a quick shot and it went in 0-2 without a chance for Reynaldo Jaume to make any attempt to save it. Szittyák SE rege's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Mariano Lacasa 61 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 0-3. Mariano Lacasa could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 67th minute of the match, but Reynaldo Jaume made a huge save. Zsolt Kardos kicked well hit freekick during the 71st minute of the match. Thiago Pliego didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from László Gácsi went, in the 73rd minute, to the upper right corner, 1-3 was the resulting score. Mariano Lacasa's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Reynaldo Jaume read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 76th minute of play. Reynaldo Jaume made an important save on a dangerous shot by Mariano Lacasa in the 81st minute. Thiago Pliego made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Milán Seres in the 82nd minute of play. László Gácsi's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Thiago Pliego read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 84th minute of play. The Chile supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Chile would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
