Spectators: 45 (Terracing: 35, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Danny Gilespie got the match started through his kick off. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Danny Gilespie in the 4th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Jacobo Nores saved Paraguay from getting behind. A throw-in in the 7th minute of the game was made by Angus Howison with Bradley Carr as target, who quickly passed the ball forward. In the 12th minute, Danny Gilespie left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Rangers FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. Jacobo Nores made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ron McLeish in the 18th minute of play. Rangers FC's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Ron McLeish in the 19th minute. A nice corner shot did that Ron McLeish got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Jacobo Nores quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Stevie McGilvray recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 20th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 24th minute, Hector Covarrubias reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Fergus Fairbairn. The goal made the score 1-1. Jacobo Nores took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Danny Gilespie, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Darius Bontine hit a great freekick 33 minutes into the match. In the 34th minute of the match Jaime Pardo sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Fergus Fairbairn skillfully saved the ball. Hector Covarrubias sent away a hard shot on goal in the 36th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Fergus Fairbairn was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Jaime Pardo showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 2-1 in the 38 minute of play. After a rather tough play, Paraguay's Hector Covarrubias got a free kick in the 42nd minute. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-1 at half-time.

Fergus Fairbairn showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jaime Pardo, who was totally free with the ball in the 53rd minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 55th minute, Jaime Pardo managed to get in a good position for a shot. Paraguay's supporters rose to their feet, but Jaime Pardo was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Fergus Fairbairn breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 58 minutes into the game, Alan Campos was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Paraguay's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Rangers FC the free kick. A collision led to Paraguay getting a freekick after 58 minutes play. Alan Campos hit a great ball. Hector Covarrubias charged in rather forcefully in the 59th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. Fergus Fairbairn stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Jaime Pardo's shot from short distance in the 70th minute. 71 minutes into the match, Rangers FC's goal looked a bit too open when Jaime Pardo came free, but Fergus Fairbairn reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 76th minute, Rangers FC's Tyler McCraw dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 2-2. Jacobo Nores showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Danny Gilespie in the 79th minute of the match. 86 minutes into the game, Jaime Pardo cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 3-2. Fergus Fairbairn was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 95th match minute, Paraguay was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jaime Pardo to maneuver through the defense.
