The referee ignored HEJA ESLÖV's protests and gave Emil Palm a yellow card for diving instead. 11 minutes into the game, one of HEJA ESLÖV:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. When the match had been going on for 13 minutes, Panama's Abraham Alguacil got an opportunity to shoot a penalty. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Nils-Erik Askelöf. 16 minutes into the match, HEJA ESLÖV's goalkeeper Nils-Erik Askelöf had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Abraham Alguacil. Marcos Cotilla made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Deci Liberatore in the 20th minute of play. Maximilian Johnsson's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Marcos Cotilla read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 24th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Panama's Jose Carita got a free kick in the 34th minute. In the 35th minute the ball was on its way in behind Panama's goalkeeper Marcos Cotilla, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. If Deci Liberatore had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 38th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With a little luck, HEJA ESLÖV's Nils-Erik Askelöf got control of the ball when Isidoro Sarmiento tried to sneak it across the goal line. Jose Carita hit a great freekick 43 minutes into the match. In the 45th minute, Maximilian Johnsson left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The HEJA ESLÖV fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-1. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-1.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Panama's defense didn't have a chance, in the 60th minute, when Anselmo Luciani scored to the left of an out of position Marcos Cotilla, making the score, 3-2. When Emil Palm was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 66 minutes had been played. Emil Palm kicked well hit freekick during the 66th minute of the match. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Tomas Berganza in the 69th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Nils-Erik Askelöf prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The referee felt a red card was in order, 71 minutes into the game, when Anselmo Luciani put in a rough tackle. After 71 played minutes HEJA ESLÖV got a freekick which was hit by Anselmo Luciani.
