Lyuboslav Fudulov was a little too slow when Mariano Lacasa got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 16th minute. The score was now 1-0. Damyan Ostrev fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 19th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Thiago Pliego having to interfere. Chile's Thiago Pliego played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Laureano Medina in the 20th minute of play. When Victory FC's Laureano Medina in the 22nd minute got a chance for a shot 22nd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Chile's goalie prevented a goal. In the 24th minute Mariano Lacasa shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Lyuboslav Fudulov saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 25 minutes into the match, Mariano Lacasa notched a goal, 2-0, to the right of Victory FC's Lyuboslav Fudulov. Lyuboslav Fudulov was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Mariano Lacasa's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Lyuboslav Fudulov read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 31st minute of play. Victory FC's Damyan Ostrev got a good chance for a goal in the 40th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 42 minutes into the match, Mariano Lacasa dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Lyuboslav Fudulov, 4-0. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 4-0 at half-time.

Victory FC's Tzolo Marchovski was substituted for Boyko Koynov. Victory FC made a substitution. Tomislav Batakliev replaced Laureano Medina. Galabin Fingarov hit a great freekick 56 minutes into the match. The audience was convinced that Mariano Lacasa's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Lyuboslav Fudulov was relentless in the 57th minute of the game. The supporters of Victory FC booed when Chile was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 59 match minutes in a wonderful position. Alan Tamayo didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 60 played minutes, Victory FC's Leif Håkansson shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Thiago Pliego came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Victory FC reached it. Mariano Lacasa sent away a hard shot on goal in the 61st minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. After a defensive mix-up in Chile's zone, Marko Kerkenezov stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Thiago Pliego came out of the goal and Marko Kerkenezov tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Mariano Lacasa in the 65th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Lyuboslav Fudulov prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Lyuboslav Fudulov showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Mariano Lacasa in the 71st minute of the match. Victory FC's Lyuboslav Fudulov played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Mariano Lacasa in the 75th minute of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Tomislav Batakliev got free with Thiago Pliego in the 76th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Kliment Zhikov kicked well hit freekick during the 88th minute of the match. Thiago Pliego was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Chile fans cheered their team off the field, for while Victory FC had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
