Jamaica's Demonde Jacobson played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Stevie McGilvray in the 17th minute of play. 21 minutes into the game, Rangers FC's Angus Howison nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Demonde Jacobson made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-2. An unexpectedly hard shot by Danny Gilespie in the 26th minute of play forced Jamaica's goalkeeper Demonde Jacobson to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 27 minutes into the match, Jamaica's goal looked a bit too open when Stevie McGilvray came free, but Demonde Jacobson reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 28 minutes into the game, Danny Gilespie cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-3. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Geroy Ascue the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Jamaica protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Geroy Ascue had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. 44 minutes into the game, one of Jamaica:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Demonde Jacobson had in the 47thth minute some difficulties stopping Tim Charles's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. In the 47th minute, Tim Charles left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Rangers FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-4. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 2-4.

An unexpectedly hard shot by Romon Oliver in the 53rd minute of play forced Rangers FC's goalkeeper Fergus Fairbairn to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 56th minute of the match, Danny Gilespie got a very nice opportunity to score, but Demonde Jacobson was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. The audience thought a goal was coming when Danny Gilespie got free with Demonde Jacobson in the 69th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Demonde Jacobson didn't succeed to prevent the ball from going into goal when Rangers FC's Danny Gilespie shot an unexpected shot in the crossbar's under edge and made 2-6 in the ordered_time% minute. Demonde Jacobson showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Angus Howison in the 78th minute of the match. Romon Oliver kicked well hit freekick during the 79th minute of the match. Jamaica's defense didn't have a chance, in the 93rd minute, when Gary Gowan scored to the left of an out of position Demonde Jacobson, making the score, 2-7. When the final whistle sounded Rangers FC left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Jamaica.
