Spectators: 45 (Terracing: 35, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. When Kurt Hamrin came up free with the goalie in the 12th minute, the Skövde AIK fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Kurt Hamrin couldn't finish the play. In the 17th minute, Luis Andino made a precise shot to the right of Ronnie Hellström. Skövde AIK's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-0. Skövde AIK's Ronnie Hellström proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 23rd minute of the match, managed to save Skövde AIK from getting a goal against them. Ronnie Hellström showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cristian Sancho in the 26th minute of the match. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Chen Ao Fan in the 27th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Julio Vera saved Ecuador from getting behind. Chen Ao Fan made a great header on Skövde AIK's corner, it was just that Ecuador's Julio Vera managed to reach the ball for a save. Ronnie Hellström took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Daniel Zorita, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Daniel Zorita had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 40th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The wind increased when Chen Ao Fan made the kick off in the second half. After 50 played minutes Ecuador got a freekick which was hit by Juan Sebastián Puig. After having played for 52 minutes, Chen Ao Fan managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Skövde AIK's supporters crossed their fingers, but Chen Ao Fan was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Ronnie Hellström showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Daniel Zorita in the 59th minute of the match. Both teams had looked equal from kick-off, and no-one was surprised when the match finally ended in a draw.
