Spectators: 44 (Terracing: 34, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Axel Tasis got the match started through his kick off. Benito Sanz showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Karl Gallberg in the 2nd minute of the match. In the 5th match minute, Costa Rica was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Alan Moruga to maneuver through the defense. 10 minutes into the match, Costa Rica's goal looked a bit too open when Ulf Johansson came free, but Benito Sanz reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Benito Sanz showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gelu Cornoiu, who was totally free with the ball in the 19th minute. Ulf Johansson's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Benito Sanz read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 23rd minute of play. Benito Sanz came out of the goal in the 26th minute to try and stop a shot by Lidingö's Jörn Brovall. But to his dismay, Jörn Brovall quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. The referee felt a red card was in order, 29 minutes into the game, when Otto Söderqvist put in a rough tackle. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 29th minute of the game. One of Lidingö:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Costa Rica:s goal. Benito Sanz showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Karl Gallberg, who was totally free with the ball in the 33rd minute. Gelu Cornoiu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 34th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Benito Sanz having to interfere. In the 37th minute, Malcolm Pilblad hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 40 minutes had been played when some careless play by Lidingö's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Axel Tasis was slow to take the kick. During this time Costa Rica's players had a chance to rest. After 42 minutes Lidingö's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Axel Tasis who took care of the corner kick. A hard and well directed shot from Jörn Brovall led 49 minutes into the game to a goal after the ball had bounced deceptively just in front of the goal. Costa Rica's Benito Sanz became a little unsure and couldn't grip the ball before it was over the goalline. Thus it was 2-3.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Karl Gallberg to strike the kick off in the second half. Benito Sanz made a fantastic save in the 55th minute, when Gelu Cornoiu sent off a good shot on target. After a rather tough play, Costa Rica's Abel Carballo got a free kick in the 56th minute. Jörn Brovall, 57 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. Benito Sanz showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jörn Brovall in the 59th minute of the match. Gelu Cornoiu's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Benito Sanz read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 60th minute of play. Lautaro Puig hit a great freekick 61 minutes into the match. A collision led to Costa Rica getting a freekick after 61 minutes play. Abel Carballo hit a great ball. Axel Tasis took the ball and in the 64 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Jan Dalgren. Jan Dalgren dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-3. After a rather tough play, Costa Rica's Aaron Alcocer got a free kick in the 69th minute. In the 74th minute the ball was on its way in behind Costa Rica's goalkeeper Benito Sanz, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 74th match minute, Costa Rica was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Abel Carballo to maneuver through the defense. The audience was convinced that Karl Gallberg's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Benito Sanz was relentless in the 79th minute of the game. In the 81st minute, Malcolm Pilblad hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Abel Carballo kicked well hit freekick during the 89th minute of the match. Lidingö's Jörn Brovall couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 89th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Costa Rica. Gelu Cornoiu in the 91stth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Benito Sanz, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. The crowd rose to their feet as Karl Gallberg kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Benito Sanz. That made the score 3-5 in the 92 minute of play. When Lidingö's Karl Gallberg in the 96th minute got a chance for a shot 96th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Costa Rica's goalie prevented a goal. With his leg Benito Sanz managed to avoid a goal in the 97thth minute, when Lidingö's Karl Gallberg fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Efrain Moruga hit a great freekick 98 minutes into the match. Jörn Brovall shot a long shot in the 99th minute and a light blocked Benito Sanz hadn't a chance when the ball went into goal on his right side. It was 3-6.
