In the 5th minute, Sebastian Villa made a precise shot to the right of Aldo Mazzetti. TRANSILVANIA's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-0. Moises Tafalla sent away a hard shot on goal in the 8th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 10 minutes into the match, Honduras's Edmundo Espiga sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Aldo Mazzetti narrowly saved just below the crossbar. 12 minutes into the game, Sebastian Villa recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Aldo Mazzetti. Sebastian Villa showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 2-0. After a rather tough play, Honduras's Edmundo Espiga got a free kick in the 17th minute. Edmundo Espiga who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 24thth minute tested the skills of Aldo Mazzetti when he managed to save the team from getting behind. After having played for 25 minutes, Moises Tafalla managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Honduras's supporters crossed their fingers, but Moises Tafalla was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Edmundo Espiga struck a weak shot in the 30th minute. Aldo Mazzetti didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Honduras. TRANSILVANIA's Aldo Mazzetti played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Edmundo Espiga in the 36th minute of play. Sebastian Villa took the ball and in the 37 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Aldo Mazzetti. Aldo Mazzetti dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 4-0. If Sebastian Villa had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 40th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With a little luck, TRANSILVANIA's Aldo Mazzetti got control of the ball when Edmundo Espiga tried to sneak it across the goal line. Sebastian Villa sent away a hard shot on goal in the 43rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Honduras's Edmundo Espiga got a good chance for a goal in the 46th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 4-0.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Edmundo Espiga was the one to do the kick off. In the 51st minute Edmundo Espiga shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Aldo Mazzetti saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Aldo Mazzetti showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Edmundo Espiga, who was totally free with the ball in the 54th minute. Aldo Mazzetti stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Edmundo Espiga's shot from short distance in the 60th minute. Fabrizio Minicucci sent away a hard shot on goal in the 63rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Aldo Mazzetti took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Moises Tafalla, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 73 minutes into the match, TRANSILVANIA's goal looked a bit too open when Edmundo Espiga came free, but Aldo Mazzetti reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Fabrizio Minicucci got free with Lautaro Navarro in the 74th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The crowd rose to their feet as TRANSILVANIA's Fabrizio Minicucci slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Lautaro Navarro. That made the score 5-1 after 74 minutes of play. After some careless play in the Honduras defense, Fausto Visintin kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Lautaro Navarro. The Honduras fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Lautaro Navarro should have stopped the shot. Moises Tafalla received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 89th minute. Aldo Mazzetti tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Edmundo Espiga took the ball and in the 91 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Aldo Mazzetti. Aldo Mazzetti dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 7-2. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Honduras fully deserved thier win.
