Jonathan Ferrant dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. When the match had gone on for 18 minutes, Tomas Illescas took a quick shot and it went in 1-1 without a chance for Rafael Evans to make any attempt to save it. Rafael Evans took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Patricio Costa, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The audience thought a goal was coming when Tomas Illescas got free with Rafael Evans in the 37th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After some careless play in the Venezuela defense, Denny Weinands kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Jonathan Ferrant. The Venezuela fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Jonathan Ferrant should have stopped the shot. When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Hans Hoezen made a kick off. In the 51st minute the ball was on its way in behind Venezuela's goalkeeper Jonathan Ferrant, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Jonathan Ferrant was a little too slow when Barnaba Zakrzewski got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 52nd minute. The score was now 1-6. Jan de Cler's late challenge caught a Venezuela's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Jan de Cler helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Venezuela booed when Corky United was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 62 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jan de Cler didn't get a good kick on the ball. Corky United's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Han Wotte in the 73rd minute. Corky United's Jan de Cler was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Jonathan Ferrant in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. The audience thought a goal was coming when Hans Hoezen got free with Jonathan Ferrant in the 80th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After 84 minutes, Hans Hoezen made it 1-8 with a short kick to the right side. Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. The audience was convinced that Tomas Illescas's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Rafael Evans was relentless in the 87th minute of the game. Jonathan Venegas hit a great freekick 93 minutes into the match. In the 94th minute, Barnaba Zakrzewski left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Corky United fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-9. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Corky United had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
