The audience thought a goal was coming when Attilio Mazzone got free with Dante Lacasa in the 6th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 9th minute Mexico were awarded a corner. Joel Gaona went to the cornerflag to take it. Radowit Ptaszek took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Lautaro Mancebo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. A collision led to Cesate getting a freekick after 13 minutes play. Angelo Ferraris hit a great ball. 21 minutes into the match, Cesate's goal looked a bit too open when Joel Gaona came free, but Radowit Ptaszek reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 22 minutes Cesate's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Joel Gaona who took care of the corner kick. In the 22nd minute, Luca Rouco fired away a free kick at the goal, but hit it at the wrong angle and it went over the crossbar. With a little luck, Mexico's Dante Lacasa got control of the ball when Angelo Ferraris tried to sneak it across the goal line. 25 minutes into the match, Angelo Ferraris had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Dante Lacasa. Mexico's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Angelo Ferraris was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-0. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Angelo Ferraris during the 29th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Angelo Ferraris hit a great freekick 29 minutes into the match. Lautaro Mancebo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 31st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Radowit Ptaszek having to interfere. Mexico's Dante Lacasa played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gustaw Nienajadlo in the 32nd minute of play. Alberto Tafalla blasted a shot towards the goal in the 34th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Radowit Ptaszek having to make a save. Comunardo Puja hit a great freekick 39 minutes into the match. In the 40th minute, Luca Zorita made a precise shot to the right of Radowit Ptaszek. Cesate's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-1. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Joel Gaona to make the kick off. In the 52nd minute, Angelo Vettori ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Dante Lacasa was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-1. The crowd rose to their feet as Mexico's Lautaro Mancebo slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Radowit Ptaszek. That made the score 2-2 after 54 minutes of play. With a little luck, Cesate's Radowit Ptaszek got control of the ball when Alberto Tafalla tried to sneak it across the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 79th minute, Lautaro Mancebo managed to get in a good position for a shot. Mexico's supporters rose to their feet, but Lautaro Mancebo was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Radowit Ptaszek breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Lautaro Mancebo was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 81st minute. Mexico's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. 83 minutes into the match, Cesate's goalkeeper Radowit Ptaszek had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Lautaro Mancebo. An unexpectedly hard shot by Joel Gaona in the 85th minute of play forced Cesate's goalkeeper Radowit Ptaszek to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. An unexpected shot in the 89th minute by Joel Gaona got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. Joel Gaona received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 91st minute. Radowit Ptaszek tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 92 played minutes Cesate got a freekick which was hit by Allar Luite. The long shot by Joel Gaona in the 93rd minute really tested Radowit Ptaszek's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. Radowit Ptaszek showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Joel Gaona, who was totally free with the ball in the 94th minute. After 94 minutes of play, Mexico's Joel Gaona made it 2-5 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Radowit Ptaszek was left in no man's land by his defense there! Mexico played a much better game than Cesate and deserved their victory. The Cesate players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
