If Xie Rong Hao had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 5th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 7 minutes of play, Uí Fergusa's Xie Rong Hao made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Thiago Pliego was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 10th minute, Mariano Lacasa reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Sergio Rochet. The goal made the score 1-1. 21 minutes into the match, Uí Fergusa's goal looked a bit too open when Mariano Lacasa came free, but Sergio Rochet reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Thiago Pliego showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Walery Pazura, who was totally free with the ball in the 24th minute. Uí Fergusa were awarded a corner in the 26th minute after Chile's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. José Maria Pitta took the corner. In the 27th match minute, Uí Fergusa was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Walery Pazura to maneuver through the defense. The audience was convinced that Xie Rong Hao's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Thiago Pliego was relentless in the 31st minute of the game. Sergio Rochet made an important save on a dangerous shot by Mariano Lacasa in the 41st minute. Uí Fergusa's Mervin Snell quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Xavier Figueroa, made in the 54th minute of the game. Sergio Rochet took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Orlando Casaus, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. A collision led to Uí Fergusa getting a freekick after 64 minutes play. Lochlainn Holt hit a great ball. 67 minutes into the match, Uí Fergusa's Xie Rong Hao sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Thiago Pliego narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 68th minute Uí Fergusa were awarded a corner. José Maria Pitta went to the cornerflag to take it. The corner led Uí Fergusa's José Maria Pitta to fire away a dangerous shot which Thiago Pliego despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Sergio Rochet showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Orlando Casaus in the 77th minute of the match. Sergio Rochet showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Orlando Casaus, who was totally free with the ball in the 78th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Xie Rong Hao in the 79th minute of play forced Chile's goalkeeper Thiago Pliego to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 82 played minutes Uí Fergusa got a freekick which was hit by José Maria Pitta. Chile's Thiago Pliego proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 84th minute of the match, managed to save Chile from getting a goal against them. Xie Rong Haos short, quick shot in the 85thth minute got Thiago Pliego to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. 86 minutes into the match, Uí Fergusa's Xie Rong Hao sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Thiago Pliego narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Uí Fergusa's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by José Maria Pitta in the 88th minute. Uí Fergusa's Walery Pazura was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Thiago Pliego in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Mariano Lacasa struck a weak shot in the 94th minute. Sergio Rochet didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Chile. Uí Fergusa were delighted with the way they had won the match. They had held their defensive line well and made the most of their chances, to claim a victory over Chile's much stronger midfield.
