The audience thought a goal was coming when Lars-Erik Lidström got free with Dante Lacasa in the 10th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 14 minutes into the game, Alberto Tafalla cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-2. Alfons Glad was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. 17 minutes into the match, Segmon IF's goal looked a bit too open when Joel Gaona came free, but Alfons Glad reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Lautaro Mancebo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 19th minute. Alfons Glad tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Mexico played a much better game than Segmon IF and deserved their victory. The Segmon IF players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
