With an extended leg and a bit of luck Marco Day prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Edward Mcdonald received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 12th minute. Mihnea Plăcintă tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cassius Byrne in the 15th minute of play forced Los Ángeles de Charlie 2's goalkeeper Mihnea Plăcintă to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Cassius Byrne sent away a hard shot on goal in the 16th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cassius Byrne in the 16th minute of play forced Los Ángeles de Charlie 2's goalkeeper Mihnea Plăcintă to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Mihnea Plăcintă showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Monty Rogers in the 17th minute of the match. Luisinho Uribe who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 37thth minute tested the skills of Marco Day when he managed to save the team from getting behind. After taking down the ball on Los Ángeles de Charlie 2's corner Quintin Gomar fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Marco Day quite easily take care of the ball. The supporters of USA booed when Los Ángeles de Charlie 2 was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 41 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ciriaco Selmo didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 43 minutes of play, USA's Monty Rogers made it 0-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Mihnea Plăcintă was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 45th minute, Ciriaco Selmo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Monty Rogers had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 47th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Disappointed in the 0-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Cassius Byrne stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Los Ángeles de Charlie 2's Mihnea Plăcintă proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 51st minute of the match, managed to save Los Ángeles de Charlie 2 from getting a goal against them. A collision led to Los Ángeles de Charlie 2 getting a freekick after 54 minutes play. Damian Budianu hit a great ball. In the 56th minute Luisinho Uribe shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Marco Day saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Mihnea Plăcintă made a fantastic save in the 61st minute, when Cassius Byrne sent off a good shot on target. Cassius Byrne received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Mihnea Plăcintă came out and tried to block the shot, but Cassius Byrne slotted it home off the left post making it 0-3 in the 62nd minute. Los Ángeles de Charlie 2's Truylos Gonzalez was substituted for Damian Budianu. In the 67th minute Monty Rogers shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mihnea Plăcintă saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Cassius Byrne had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 69th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Los Ángeles de Charlie 2 made a substitution. Aquilino Cuevas replaced Luisinho Uribe. USA made a substitution. Sam Campbell replaced Cassius Byrne. An unexpected shot in the 72nd minute by Sam Campbell got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. USA's Khalid Parry was substituted for Monty Rogers. After a rather tough play, Los Ángeles de Charlie 2's Staffan Ekegren got a free kick in the 82nd minute. Sam Campbell could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 83rd minute of the match, but Mihnea Plăcintă made a huge save. 85 minutes into the match, Los Ángeles de Charlie 2's Truylos Gonzalez sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Marco Day narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 89th minute Khalid Parry shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mihnea Plăcintă saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a rather tough play, Los Ángeles de Charlie 2's Aquilino Cuevas got a free kick in the 94th minute. USA's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
