Spectators: 45 (Terracing: 35, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Remco Dekker took the kick off in the first half of the match. Dante Lacasa took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Mattijs Klaes, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Ciro Lira showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Joel Gaona, who was totally free with the ball in the 5th minute. In the 6th minute Mattijs Klaes shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dante Lacasa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 8 played minutes Decathlon Anderlecht got a freekick which was hit by Jesse Petermans. After 13 played minutes Decathlon Anderlecht got a freekick which was hit by Mattijs Klaes. The supporters of Mexico booed when Decathlon Anderlecht was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 14 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gregoire Humblets didn't get a good kick on the ball. Mattijs Klaes fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 24th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dante Lacasa having to interfere. 27 minutes into the match, Mexico's goal looked a bit too open when Mattijs Klaes came free, but Dante Lacasa reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Pedro Teles hit a great freekick 35 minutes into the match. Mexico's Dante Lacasa played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Giles Winnepenninck in the 41st minute of play. Mattijs Klaes took the ball and in the 43 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Dante Lacasa. Dante Lacasa dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-1. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

Joel Gaona blasted a shot towards the goal in the 53rd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Ciro Lira having to make a save. Dante Lacasa came out of the goal in the 55th minute to try and stop a shot by Decathlon Anderlecht's Giles Winnepenninck. But to his dismay, Giles Winnepenninck quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-2. An unexpectedly hard shot by Joel Gaona in the 61st minute of play forced Decathlon Anderlecht's goalkeeper Ciro Lira to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Ciro Lira took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Lautaro Mancebo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 67th minute, Alberto Tafalla made a precise shot to the right of Ciro Lira. Decathlon Anderlecht's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-2. After some careless play in the Mexico defense, Richy Valkeneers kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Dante Lacasa. The Mexico fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Dante Lacasa should have stopped the shot. Decathlon Anderlecht were awarded a corner in the 82th minute after Mexico's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Richy Valkeneers took the corner. The corner led Decathlon Anderlecht's Richy Valkeneers to fire away a dangerous shot which Dante Lacasa despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. After some careless play in the Decathlon Anderlecht defense, Alberto Tafalla kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Ciro Lira. The Decathlon Anderlecht fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Ciro Lira should have stopped the shot. With a little luck, Mexico's Dante Lacasa got control of the ball when Remco Dekker tried to sneak it across the goal line. Dante Lacasa took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Giles Winnepenninck, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Neither set of supporters seemed pleased with the draw, but both teams had played equally well today.
