Spectators: 44 (Terracing: 34, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) Tomas Berganza sent away a hard shot on goal in the 3rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 5 played minutes Panama got a freekick which was hit by Isidoro Sarmiento. Alex Cambeiro hit a great freekick 8 minutes into the match. If Tomas Berganza had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 12th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Leo Franco took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Isidoro Sarmiento, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Panama's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Abraham Alguacil in the 18th minute. A nice corner shot did that Abraham Alguacil got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Leo Franco quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Leo Franco made an important save on a dangerous shot by Isidoro Sarmiento in the 20th minute. In the 21st minute Tomas Berganza shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Leo Franco saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Isidoro Sarmiento in the 22nd minute of play forced C.A. BOCA JUNIORS's goalkeeper Leo Franco to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. C.A. BOCA JUNIORS's Leo Franco played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tomas Berganza in the 25th minute of play. C.A. BOCA JUNIORS's Javier Ospin got a good chance for a goal in the 43rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 47th match minute, Panama was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Isidoro Sarmiento to maneuver through the defense.

C.A. BOCA JUNIORS's Leo Franco played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tomas Berganza in the 59th minute of play. 60 minutes into the match, Panama's goalkeeper Marcos Cotilla had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Domingo Blai. In the 63rd minute, Abraham Alguacil left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Panama fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-1. Leo Franco made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Abraham Alguacil in the 73rd minute of play. Abraham Alguacil took the ball and in the 78 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Leo Franco. Leo Franco dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-1. Tomas Berganza recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 81st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Javier Ospin took the ball and in the 83 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Marcos Cotilla. Marcos Cotilla dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-2. Leo Franco made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tomas Berganza in the 87th minute of play. Tomas Berganza recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 89th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tomas Berganza in the 94th minute of play forced C.A. BOCA JUNIORS's goalkeeper Leo Franco to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Despite being the better team, Panama failed to find the winning goal and were forced to settle for a single point.
