Spectators: 45 (Terracing: 35, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) Honduras's Edmundo Espiga started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. A sloppy throw-in by Soren Leenders in the 6th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Honduras's Esteban Carvallo. An unexpectedly hard shot by Edmundo Espiga in the 7th minute of play forced Club Brugge's goalkeeper Jef De Langhe to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 12th minute Fredrik Wijgaert shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Lautaro Navarro saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Honduras's Lautaro Navarro played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Fredrik Wijgaert in the 12th minute of play. In the 15th minute, Edmundo Espiga reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Jef De Langhe. The goal made the score 2-0. In the 18thth minute of the game Edmundo Espiga who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Club Brugge's Jef De Langhe was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 18th minute, Reinaert Ketelers hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Edmundo Espiga had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 20th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Honduras's Edmundo Espiga couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 23rd minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Club Brugge. Jef De Langhe made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Edmundo Espiga in the 31st minute of play. The audience was convinced that Sebastian Villa's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Jef De Langhe was relentless in the 34th minute of the game. A throw-in in the 43rd minute of the game was made by Harrie Stuckens with Fredrik Wijgaert as target, who quickly passed the ball forward. Club Brugge's Jef De Langhe proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 45th minute of the match, managed to save Club Brugge from getting a goal against them. Af the end of the first half the score was 3-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Dave Goorts was the one to do the kick off. When the match had gone on for 52 minutes, Sebastian Villa put it in 4-0 from a short distance just to the right of Jef De Langhe. Honduras's Moises Tafalla got a good chance for a goal in the 56th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After 58 minutes, Edmundo Espiga made it 5-0 with a short kick to the right side. Club Brugge's Jef De Langhe tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Jef De Langhe made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Edmundo Espiga in the 61st minute of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Edmundo Espiga in the 63rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Jef De Langhe prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 64 minutes into the match, Club Brugge's goal looked a bit too open when Edmundo Espiga came free, but Jef De Langhe reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 65 minutes had been played when some careless play by Club Brugge's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Edmundo Espiga was slow to take the kick. During this time Honduras's players had a chance to rest. The corner went over the outstretched arms of Club Brugge's goalie and right to Luca Espinar. He fired away a shot at goal, but the shot had too much spin, and it went just outside the goal. Club Brugge's manager breathed a sigh of relief on the sidelines as his team had managed to escape an almost certain goal. Jef De Langhe made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Edmundo Espiga in the 68th minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 69th minute, Sebastian Villa managed to get in a good position for a shot. Honduras's supporters rose to their feet, but Sebastian Villa was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Jef De Langhe breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. An unexpectedly hard shot by Edmundo Espiga in the 71st minute of play forced Club Brugge's goalkeeper Jef De Langhe to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The Honduras fans' excitement grew in the 74th match minute when Honduras's Edmundo Espiga looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 6-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Club Brugge's Dave Goorts got a good chance for a goal in the 77th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After 83rd play minutes Edmundo Espiga shot 7-0, a short shot which went by Jef De Langhe and just under the crossbar into goal. In the 88th minute, Edmundo Espiga got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Reinaert Ketelers's late challenge caught a Honduras's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Reinaert Ketelers helped the player get up and apologised. Sebastian Villa hit a great freekick 90 minutes into the match. When Dave Goorts came up free with the goalie in the 93rd minute, the Club Brugge fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Dave Goorts couldn't finish the play. In the 95thth minute of the game Edmundo Espiga who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Club Brugge's Jef De Langhe was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball.
