Spectators: 45 (Terracing: 35, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Abram Sarmiento got the match started through his kick off. Sporting Burgas's Álvaro Perpiñán proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 8th minute of the match, managed to save Sporting Burgas from getting a goal against them. Colombia's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Axel Montenegro in the 9th minute. Axel Montenegro's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Álvaro Perpiñán firmly grabbed it by the left post. Abram Sarmiento received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 15th minute. Álvaro Perpiñán tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Pedro Manzanares made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cedro Pantoja in the 19th minute of play. The attack was good, but when Davor Šuker in the 19th minute was about to shoot he didn't kick quite good enough and the ball went high over goal. Axel Montenegro who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 26thth minute tested the skills of Álvaro Perpiñán when he managed to save the team from getting behind. A very nice done corner allowed Pascual Carballar to score against Álvaro Perpiñán in Sporting Burgas's goal. 1-1 after 28 minutes. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Abram Sarmiento in the 33rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Álvaro Perpiñán saved Sporting Burgas from getting behind. After 36 played minutes Colombia got a freekick which was hit by Pascual Carballar. Pedro Manzanares stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Vintilă Ghițulescu's shot from short distance in the 37th minute. In the 40th minute Abram Sarmiento shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Álvaro Perpiñán saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With a little luck, Sporting Burgas's Álvaro Perpiñán got control of the ball when Axel Montenegro tried to sneak it across the goal line. Álvaro Perpiñán stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Abram Sarmiento's shot from short distance in the 44th minute. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The wind increased when Davor Šuker made the kick off in the second half. The crowd rose to their feet as Davor Šuker kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Pedro Manzanares. That made the score 1-2 in the 54 minute of play. The audience was convinced that Abram Sarmiento's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Álvaro Perpiñán was relentless in the 62nd minute of the game. After having played for 64 minutes, Axel Montenegro managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Colombia's supporters crossed their fingers, but Axel Montenegro was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Cedro Pantoja received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 72nd minute. Pedro Manzanares tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Colombia's Ignacio Mastache was substituted for Abram Sarmiento. A hard shot 76 in the game by Vintilă Ghițulescu from a close distance when the talented Pedro Manzanares managed to make a qualified save. Colombia's players were relieved. 80 minutes had been played when some careless play by Sporting Burgas's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Kevin Mastache was slow to take the kick. During this time Colombia's players had a chance to rest. The corner went over the outstretched arms of Sporting Burgas's goalie and right to Joshua Garrido. He fired away a shot at goal, but the shot had too much spin, and it went just outside the goal. Sporting Burgas's manager breathed a sigh of relief on the sidelines as his team had managed to escape an almost certain goal. Colombia's Pedro Manzanares played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Davor Šuker in the 82nd minute of play. After 83 played minutes Colombia got a freekick which was hit by Orlando Tafalla. Álvaro Perpiñán took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ignacio Mastache, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 90th minute Ignacio Mastache shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Álvaro Perpiñán saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Álvaro Perpiñán didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Ignacio Mastache went, in the 90th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-2 was the resulting score. In the 95th minute Colombia were awarded a corner. Kevin Mastache went to the cornerflag to take it. Jeers came from both ends of the stadium when the final whistle went. Neither team had looked impressive and the draw seeemd a fair result.
