Tanek Zurawski made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-2. Eliseo Mina received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 83rd minute. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Les Pionniers de Touraine. Peru's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
