Spectators: 40 (Terracing: 31, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Elpidio Francis got the match started through his kick off. Dante Lacasa took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Arnaldo Gabon, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 5th minute, Zacarias Osorio ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Dante Lacasa was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-0. Dante Lacasa came out of the goal in the 7th minute to try and stop a shot by ESTUDIANTES de la PLATA's Elpidio Francis. But to his dismay, Elpidio Francis quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-0. Branislav Velchevski took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Lautaro Mancebo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a rather tough play, ESTUDIANTES de la PLATA's Arnaldo Gabon got a free kick in the 15th minute. Branislav Velchevski showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Lautaro Mancebo in the 19th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Elpidio Francis in the 20th minute of play forced Mexico's goalkeeper Dante Lacasa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the last second Dante Lacasa throw himself and got hold of the ball when Elpidio Francis in the 20thth minute from his position got away a shot towards the right post. In the 21st minute ESTUDIANTES de la PLATA were awarded a corner. Miguel Prosperi went to the cornerflag to take it. ESTUDIANTES de la PLATA's Branislav Velchevski played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Luca Zorita in the 26th minute of play. Branislav Velchevski took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Lautaro Mancebo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Mexico's Dante Lacasa proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 32nd minute of the match, managed to save Mexico from getting a goal against them. An unexpectedly hard shot by Luca Zorita in the 35th minute of play forced ESTUDIANTES de la PLATA's goalkeeper Branislav Velchevski to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 36 minutes of play, ESTUDIANTES de la PLATA's Arnaldo Gabon made it 3-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Dante Lacasa was left in no man's land by his defense there! The supporters of Mexico booed when ESTUDIANTES de la PLATA was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 40 match minutes in a wonderful position. Zacarias Osorio didn't get a good kick on the ball. Dante Lacasa made an important save on a dangerous shot by Zacarias Osorio in the 43rd minute. A collision led to Mexico getting a freekick after 44 minutes play. Lorenzo Cazalla hit a great ball. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 3-0.

Dante Lacasa showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Elpidio Francis in the 57th minute of the match. 62 minutes into the match, Alberto Tafalla notched a goal, 3-1, to the right of ESTUDIANTES de la PLATA's Branislav Velchevski. Branislav Velchevski was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Dante Lacasa showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Zacarias Osorio, who was totally free with the ball in the 66th minute. In the 67th minute of the match ESTUDIANTES de la PLATA got a corner. Mexico's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Miguel Prosperi ran over to the corner to take the kick. Luca Zorita kicked well hit freekick during the 71st minute of the match. When Zacarias Osorio came up free with the goalie in the 72nd minute, the ESTUDIANTES de la PLATA fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Zacarias Osorio couldn't finish the play. It seemed to be an obvious goal in the 74th minute, but Branislav Velchevski got his fingers on the ball or the save, leaving ESTUDIANTES de la PLATA hanging dry this time. 82 minutes into the game, Elpidio Francis cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 4-1. Dante Lacasa was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 86th minute, ESTUDIANTES de la PLATA's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Lautaro Mancebo fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. Elpidio Francis sent away a hard shot on goal in the 89th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.
