Alexis Hoover was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 44 minutes into the match. After 45 played minutes Racing Miami Futbol Club got a freekick which was hit by Alexis Hoover. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Osvaldinho Ósvaldsson to make the kick off. Guilherme Veiga was a little too slow when Axel Montenegro got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 54th minute. The score was now 1-1. In the 61st minute the ball was on its way in behind Colombia's goalkeeper Pedro Manzanares, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After some careless play in the Colombia defense, Osvaldinho Ósvaldsson kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Pedro Manzanares. The Colombia fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Pedro Manzanares should have stopped the shot. Racing Miami Futbol Club made a substitution. Trey Echols replaced Rodney Hagen. In the 67th minute Chance Adams shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Pedro Manzanares saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Guilherme Veiga prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 84 minutes into the game, one of Racing Miami Futbol Club:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. After a long run with the ball, Kevin Mastache did a trick in the 85th minute in front of Racing Miami Futbol Club's goalkeeper, who threw himself to the side. After that it was simple to shoot 2-2. An impressive performance by Colombia's Kevin Mastache! The crowd rose to their feet as Colombia's Kevin Mastache slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Guilherme Veiga. That made the score 2-3 after 91 minutes of play. In the 93rd minute, Joshua Garrido hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. An unexpectedly hard shot by Chance Adams in the 96th minute of play forced Colombia's goalkeeper Pedro Manzanares to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.
