A collision led to Ecuador getting a freekick after 20 minutes play. Primitivo Andino hit a great ball. Ecuador's supporters crossed their fingers, but Cristian Sancho was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Pannekoeken's defense didn't have a chance, in the 38th minute, when Daniel Zorita scored to the left of an out of position Elbert Haar, making the score, 2-1. Pannekoeken were furious when Jeremie Van Deijck was red carded, 43 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Haroldo Weather to strike the kick off in the second half. After a rather tough play, Pannekoeken's Matias Foyo got a free kick in the 51st minute. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Daniel Zorita in the 95th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Elbert Haar prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After 95 minutes, Daniel Zorita made it 4-1 with a short kick to the right side. Pannekoeken's Elbert Haar tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Ecuador fully deserved thier win.
