Costa Rica's Efrain Moruga was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Wilfried Plard in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Adrien Cren hit a great freekick 10 minutes into the match. After 18 played minutes MORCY Saint Germain got a freekick which was hit by Ruslan Malinovskiy. Wilfried Plard showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Eliseo Noboa in the 19th minute of the match. 21 minutes had been played when some careless play by MORCY Saint Germain's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Axel Tasis was slow to take the kick. During this time Costa Rica's players had a chance to rest. Benito Sanz showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Hakim Boireau in the 29th minute of the match. Wilfried Plard showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Axel Tasis, who was totally free with the ball in the 34th minute. A collision led to MORCY Saint Germain getting a freekick after 36 minutes play. Roger Venot hit a great ball. A collision led to Costa Rica getting a freekick after 39 minutes play. Alexander Carballo hit a great ball. Benito Sanz was a little too slow when Brendan Châtard got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 42nd minute. The score was now 2-0. After a rather tough play, MORCY Saint Germain's Hervé Coq got a free kick in the 45th minute. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-0 at half-time.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Eliseo Noboa stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 54th match minute, MORCY Saint Germain was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Chris Rougier to maneuver through the defense. After a rather tough play, MORCY Saint Germain's Roger Venot got a free kick in the 55th minute. MORCY Saint Germain made a substitution. Mathys Blazy replaced Chris Rougier. The MORCY Saint Germain fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-0. 73 minutes into the game, Ruslan Malinovskiy cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 4-0. Benito Sanz was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. MORCY Saint Germain's Wilfried Plard proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 76th minute of the match, managed to save MORCY Saint Germain from getting a goal against them. Eliseo Noboa struck a weak shot in the 80th minute. Wilfried Plard didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Costa Rica. Mathys Blazy charged in rather forcefully in the 81st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The supporters of MORCY Saint Germain booed when Costa Rica was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 85 match minutes in a wonderful position. Aaron Alcocer didn't get a good kick on the ball. Costa Rica's Benito Sanz played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jean-Philippe Mari in the 88th minute of play. Abel Carballo kicked well hit freekick during the 89th minute of the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 90th minute, Dove Moulis managed to get in a good position for a shot. MORCY Saint Germain's supporters rose to their feet, but Dove Moulis was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Benito Sanz breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Efrain Moruga charged in rather forcefully in the 91st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Efrain Moruga the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 92 played minutes Costa Rica got a freekick which was hit by Efrain Moruga. The audience was convinced that Jean-Philippe Mari's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Benito Sanz was relentless in the 93rd minute of the game. Benito Sanz showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ruslan Malinovskiy in the 94th minute of the match.
