Marcos Cotilla showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cristi Ionășescu in the 13th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tomas Berganza in the 17th minute of play forced Timbau CSM's goalkeeper Tudor Balțoi to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 19th minute Panama were awarded a corner. Abraham Alguacil went to the cornerflag to take it. After taking down the ball on Panama's corner Abraham Alguacil fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Tudor Balțoi quite easily take care of the ball. 20 minutes into the match, Timbau CSM's goal looked a bit too open when Tomas Berganza came free, but Tudor Balțoi reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Tomas Berganza received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. After 39 played minutes Timbau CSM got a freekick which was hit by Silviu Tobă. With an all-out effort, Panama's Tudor Balțoi threw himself towards the right post 39 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Tomas Berganza, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Avram Aalexoaiei hit a great freekick 92 minutes into the match. Panama were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest.
