Baia Mare -MM- getting a freekick after 25 minutes play. Anton Baicea hit a great ball. A hard shot by Edmundo Espiga from long distance, 26 minutes into the match, got Zsigmond Pál's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. George Buzoianu blasted a shot towards the goal in the 28th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Lautaro Navarro having to make a save. George Buzoianu's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Lautaro Navarro read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 28th minute of play. Honduras's Christian Sancho managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Dragoş Balint in the 30 minute of the game. In the 30th match minute, F.C. Baia Mare -MM- was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by George Buzoianu to maneuver through the defense. After 33 minutes, Edmundo Espiga made it 1-2 with a short kick to the right side. F.C. Baia Mare -MM-'s Zsigmond Pál tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. F.C. Baia Mare -MM-'s defense didn't have a chance, in the 35th minute, when Edmundo Espiga scored to the left of an out of position Zsigmond Pál, making the score, 2-2. Octavian Podgoreanu charged in rather forcefully in the 40th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Octavian Podgoreanu the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Octavian Podgoreanu kicked well hit freekick during the 40th minute of the match. Lautaro Navarro took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from George Buzoianu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. A collision led to Honduras getting a freekick after 45 minutes play. Moises Tafalla hit a great ball. In the 46th minute George Buzoianu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Lautaro Navarro saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.
The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for George Buzoianu to strike the kick off in the second half. Iosif Gurlui hit a great freekick 52 minutes into the match. Honduras's Edmundo Espiga got a good chance for a goal in the 54th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. George Buzoianu had several of the Honduras's defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 57 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 2-3 score and a disappointed Lautaro Navarro as he didn't even see the shot coming. After a rather tough play, Honduras's Ivan Navarro got a free kick in the 60th minute. Iosif Gurlui received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Lautaro Navarro came out and tried to block the shot, but Iosif Gurlui slotted it home off the left post making it 2-4 in the 62nd minute. Thanks to some nice moves George Buzoianu could shoot a difficult shot in the 65th minute, which Lautaro Navarro however easily saved by the left post. When Sebastian Villa fell near the penalty area in the 66th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Honduras's protests and gave Sebastian Villa a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Honduras getting a freekick after 67 minutes play. Sebastian Villa hit a great ball. Iosif Gurlui was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 73rd minute. F.C. Baia Mare -MM-'s manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Edmundo Espiga in the 75th minute of play forced F.C. Baia Mare -MM-'s goalkeeper Zsigmond Pál to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 76 minutes of play, F.C. Baia Mare -MM-'s Iosif Gurlui made it 2-5 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Lautaro Navarro was left in no man's land by his defense there! George Buzoianu blasted a shot towards the goal in the 78th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Lautaro Navarro having to make a save. George Buzoianu could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 78th minute of the match, but Lautaro Navarro made a huge save. George Buzoianu struck a weak shot in the 82nd minute. Lautaro Navarro didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for F.C. Baia Mare -MM-. In the 91st minute, Iosif Gurlui reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Lautaro Navarro. The goal made the score 2-6.
