João Pirani started the match with the kick off. Agustín Saelices recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 8th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Agustín Saelices kicked well hit freekick during the 9th minute of the match. Nelsinho Leite didn't succeed to prevent the ball from going into goal when Ecuador's Daniel Zorita shot an unexpected shot in the crossbar's under edge and made 0-1 in the ordered_time% minute. Vascogoianiense FC's Nelsinho Leite played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cristian Sancho in the 19th minute of play. 21 minutes had been played when some careless play by Ecuador's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Aírton Sousa was slow to take the kick. During this time Vascogoianiense FC's players had a chance to rest. Ecuador's Julio Vera played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gilmar Monteiro in the 31st minute of play. Nelsinho Leite made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Daniel Zorita in the 32nd minute of play. 36 minutes into the game, Ecuador's Agustín Saelices nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Nelsinho Leite made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-2. When Agustín Saelices came up free with the goalie in the 39th minute, the Ecuador fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Agustín Saelices couldn't finish the play. In the 41st minute, Vascogoianiense FC's Gilmar Monteiro dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-2. Vascogoianiense FC's Nelsinho Leite played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Daniel Zorita in the 46th minute of play. Disappointed in the 1-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The wind increased when Daniel Zorita made the kick off in the second half. With a little luck, Vascogoianiense FC's Nelsinho Leite got control of the ball when Daniel Zorita tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 64th minute, Vascogoianiense FC's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Daniel Zorita fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. Through an outstanding action, after 67 minutes, Nelsinho Leite successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Nelsinho Leite made a fantastic save in the 69th minute, when Daniel Zorita sent off a good shot on target. 71 minutes into the match, Ecuador's goal looked a bit too open when João Pirani came free, but Julio Vera reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Nelsinho Leite made a fantastic save in the 77th minute, when Cristian Sancho sent off a good shot on target. Vascogoianiense FC's attack was well implemented in the 80th minute, but when Aírton Sousa was about to shoot he didn't get a good hit on the ball and it hit the crossbar and flew over. Goal Kick. After 81 played minutes Ecuador got a freekick which was hit by Daniel Zorita. Julio Vera made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from João Pirani in the 87th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Ecuador's Agustín Saelices got a free kick in the 94th minute. When the final whistle sounded Ecuador left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Vascogoianiense FC.
