The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Sverker Hydén fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 3rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rolando Noboa having to interfere. 8 minutes into the game, Laurențiu Roşu threw the ball into play from the sideline. Peru's Eliseo Mina quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. Peru were furious when Emmanuel Reyes was red carded, 10 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. 10 minutes into the game, one of Peru:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. When the match had been going on for 12 minutes, Stakbröte's Sverker Hydén got an opportunity to shoot a penalty. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Rolando Noboa. Peru's Rolando Noboa played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Văn 吕布 in the 18th minute of play. The crowd rose to their feet as Văn 吕布 kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Rolando Noboa. That made the score 2-0 in the 18 minute of play. Bai Jian Ao took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Milagros Fraga, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 23 minutes into the game, Văn 吕布 lined in a short shot 3-0 behind a frustrated Rolando Noboa. Rolando Noboa showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Văn 吕布 in the 25th minute of the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 30th minute, Eliseo Mina managed to get in a good position for a shot. Peru's supporters rose to their feet, but Eliseo Mina was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Bai Jian Ao breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After 43rd play minutes Văn 吕布 shot 4-0, a short shot which went by Rolando Noboa and just under the crossbar into goal. Milagros Fraga took the ball and in the 48 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Bai Jian Ao. Bai Jian Ao dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 4-1. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 4-1.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Luz Tejedor to make the kick off. In the 58th minute Milagros Fraga shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Bai Jian Ao saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Stakbröte's zone, Luz Tejedor stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Bai Jian Ao came out of the goal and Luz Tejedor tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The throw-in from Laurențiu Roşu in the 65th minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Peru's Eliseo Mina. Rolando Noboa stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Sverker Hydén's shot from short distance in the 68th minute. A collision led to Stakbröte getting a freekick after 70 minutes play. Villarreal Laranga hit a great ball. A collision led to Stakbröte getting a freekick after 74 minutes play. In the 75th match minute, Stakbröte was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Laurențiu Roşu to maneuver through the defense. Laurențiu Roşu made in the 77th minute of the game a fairly good throw-in which was taken care of by Sverker Hydén. An unexpectedly hard shot by Sverker Hydén in the 79th minute of play forced Peru's goalkeeper Rolando Noboa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Peru made a substitution. Eliseo Alcocer replaced Moises Gayoso. After a rather tough play, Peru's Anthony Alvarado got a free kick in the 86th minute. After 88 minutes Peru's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Sverker Hydén who took care of the corner kick. Bai Jian Ao made a fantastic save in the 91st minute, when Milagros Fraga sent off a good shot on target. After some fancy dribbling in the 94th minute, Eliseo Mina managed to get in a good position for a shot. Peru's supporters rose to their feet, but Eliseo Mina was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Bai Jian Ao breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The audience was convinced that Romeo Beckham Jr's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Rolando Noboa was relentless in the 96th minute of the game.
