A nice corner shot did that Mariano Lacasa got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Mihály Gera quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. When the match had gone on for 14 minutes, Mariano Lacasa put it in 2-0 from a short distance just to the right of Mihály Gera. In the 17th minute the ball was on its way in behind Szentgotthárd's goalkeeper Mihály Gera, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 22nd minute, Mariano Lacasa made a precise shot to the right of Mihály Gera. Szentgotthárd's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 3-0. After 26 minutes of play, Chile's Xavier Figueroa made it 4-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Mihály Gera was left in no man's land by his defense there! Mariano Lacasa blasted a shot towards the goal in the 31st minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Mihály Gera having to make a save. Szentgotthárd's Gábor Sebestyén quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Gerardo Pozo, made in the 35th minute of the game. Mihály Gera was out of position in the 40 minute of play, and Jose Manzanedo capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Jose Manzanedo really showed his touch with that goal: 5-0. When the match clock showed 43 minutes, the score became 6-0 when Orlando Casaus sped through Szentgotthárd's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Mihály Gera. Szentgotthárd's Mihály Gera proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 46th minute of the match, managed to save Szentgotthárd from getting a goal against them. After a defensive mix-up in Szentgotthárd's zone, Orlando Casaus stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Mihály Gera came out of the goal and Orlando Casaus tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Mariano Lacasa to strike the kick off in the second half. If Bálint Sándor had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 54th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a defensive mix-up in Szentgotthárd's zone, Mariano Lacasa stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Mihály Gera came out of the goal and Mariano Lacasa tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 59thth minute of the game Mariano Lacasa who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Szentgotthárd's Mihály Gera was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 60 minutes into the match, Mariano Lacasa notched a goal, 8-0, to the right of Szentgotthárd's Mihály Gera. Mihály Gera was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. The audience was convinced that Mariano Lacasa's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Mihály Gera was relentless in the 63rd minute of the game. An unexpectedly hard shot by Mariano Lacasa in the 65th minute of play forced Szentgotthárd's goalkeeper Mihály Gera to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Mariano Lacasa blasted a shot towards the goal in the 66th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Mihály Gera having to make a save. A collision led to Szentgotthárd getting a freekick after 70 minutes play. Gábor Sebestyén hit a great ball. In the 72nd minute Mariano Lacasa shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mihály Gera saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 75 minutes into the match, Szentgotthárd's goal looked a bit too open when Mariano Lacasa came free, but Mihály Gera reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 79 minutes into the match, Mariano Lacasa had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Mihály Gera. Szentgotthárd's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Mariano Lacasa was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 9-0. A sloppy throw-in by Xavier Figueroa in the 83rd minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Szentgotthárd's Márton Fehér. If Mariano Lacasa had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 85th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Mihály Gera took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Mariano Lacasa, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Chile's Mariano Lacasa in the 88th minute got a chance for a shot 88th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Szentgotthárd's goalie prevented a goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Mariano Lacasa in the 90th minute of play forced Szentgotthárd's goalkeeper Mihály Gera to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Mihály Gera stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Mariano Lacasa's shot from short distance in the 91st minute. Mihály Gera came out of the goal in the 92nd minute to try and stop a shot by Chile's Mariano Lacasa. But to his dismay, Mariano Lacasa quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 10-0. Szentgotthárd's attentive Bálint Sándor managed to snatch the ball when Xavier Figueroa made a throw-in in the 96th minute of the game. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Chile fully deserved thier win.
