Seraċini Għawdxin's Rahim Kornes tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. 45 minutes into the game, Colombia's Abram Sarmiento nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Rahim Kornes made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 4-2. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 4-2.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Song Wei Yun made a kick off. In the 94th minute Kevin Mastache shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rahim Kornes saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Seraċini Għawdxin's Song Wei Yun was standing unmarked in front of the goal when he, in the 96th play minute, got the ball and easily drilled it into the goal. When the match was over Seraċini Għawdxin could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Colombia throughout the match.
