After a defensive mix-up in Golden Beach AFC's zone, Cristian Sancho stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Fabrício Gröhe came out of the goal and Cristian Sancho tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 26 minutes into the match, Golden Beach AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Luis Andino came free, but Fabrício Gröhe reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 78th minute of the match, Daniel Zorita got a very nice opportunity to score, but Fabrício Gröhe was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. Daniel Zorita's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Fabrício Gröhe firmly grabbed it by the left post. When Ecuador's Daniel Zorita, in the 85th minute, received a pass right in front of the net, it looked like a certain goal, but his shot went outside. A wasted opportunity for Ecuador. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Samuel Wetzel during the 93rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Samuel Wetzel hit a great freekick 93 minutes into the match. In the 97th match minute, Ecuador was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Cristian Sancho to maneuver through the defense. When the match was over Ecuador could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Golden Beach AFC throughout the match.
