When the match clock showed 26 minutes, the score became 0-3 when Felix Montes sped through Jabones Tocadores's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Geronimo Ferrando. Agustín Saelices fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 33rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Geronimo Ferrando having to interfere. 36 minutes into the match, Jabones Tocadores's goal looked a bit too open when Cristian Sancho came free, but Geronimo Ferrando reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Daniel Zorita sent away a hard shot on goal in the 37th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Jaime Regis during the 46th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The Jabones Tocadores players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Ecuador were winning 0-3.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and David Alonso made a kick off. In the 52nd minute, Daniel Zorita left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Ecuador fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-4. 55 minutes into the game, David Alonso cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-4. Julio Vera was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Cristian Sancho received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 60th minute. Geronimo Ferrando tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 62 minutes of play, Ecuador's Felix Montenegro made it 1-5 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Geronimo Ferrando was left in no man's land by his defense there! Ecuador's Luis Andino got a good chance for a goal in the 67th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. A collision led to Jabones Tocadores getting a freekick after 70 minutes play. Mauro Astigar hit a great ball. In the 71st minute, Luis Andino got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Cristian Sancho struck a weak shot in the 73rd minute. Geronimo Ferrando didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Ecuador. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cristian Sancho in the 75th minute of play forced Jabones Tocadores's goalkeeper Geronimo Ferrando to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Luis Andino made a great header on Ecuador's corner, it was just that Jabones Tocadores's Geronimo Ferrando managed to reach the ball for a save. Cristian Sancho took the ball and in the 80 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Geronimo Ferrando. Geronimo Ferrando dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-6. Geronimo Ferrando came out of the goal in the 84th minute to try and stop a shot by Ecuador's Daniel Zorita. But to his dismay, Daniel Zorita quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-7. 86 minutes into the match, Cristian Sancho dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Geronimo Ferrando, 1-8. 97 minutes into the game, Cristian Sancho recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Geronimo Ferrando. Cristian Sancho showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-9. Ecuador played a much better game than Jabones Tocadores and deserved their victory. The Jabones Tocadores players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
