Jonathan Ferrant took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gogo Nabar, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Jose Correa hit a great freekick 36 minutes into the match. Gogo Nabar took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 37th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Jonathan Ferrant. Venezuela's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. In the 38th match minute, Douglas haig was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Uriel Ferrando to maneuver through the defense. Jonathan Ferrant showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gogo Nabar, who was totally free with the ball in the 40th minute. Douglas haig's Milo Francisco played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tomas Illescas in the 41st minute of play. Milo Francisco didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Patricio Costa went, in the 44th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-5 was the resulting score. After 46 minutes, Guillermo Mariano mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Venezuela and the Douglas haig players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Douglas haig booed when Venezuela was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 46 match minutes in a wonderful position. Guillermo Mariano didn't get a good kick on the ball. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-5 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Felix Flores took the ball and in the 57 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Jonathan Ferrant. Jonathan Ferrant dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-7. A collision led to Douglas haig getting a freekick after 60 minutes play. Rafal Marchewka hit a great ball. Jonathan Ferrant made a fantastic save in the 63rd minute, when Felix Flores sent off a good shot on target. 66 minutes into the match, Venezuela's goalkeeper Jonathan Ferrant had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Felix Flores. Jonathan Venegas kicked well hit freekick during the 68th minute of the match. Douglas haig's Gogo Nabar couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 69th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Venezuela. Douglas haig's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Gogo Nabar in the 72nd minute. The corner led Douglas haig's Gogo Nabar to fire away a dangerous shot which Jonathan Ferrant despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. The Douglas haig fans' excitement grew in the 73rd match minute when Douglas haig's Felix Flores looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-8 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Jonathan Ferrant made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gogo Nabar in the 77th minute of play. Douglas haig's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Gogo Nabar in the 78th minute. Douglas haig's Gogo Nabar was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Jonathan Ferrant in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Jonathan Ferrant stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Gogo Nabar's shot from short distance in the 84th minute. The supporters of Douglas haig booed when Venezuela was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 89 match minutes in a wonderful position. Patricio Costa didn't get a good kick on the ball.
