Cristian Sancho received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 12th minute. David Bastos tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 22nd minute Daniel Zorita shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but David Bastos saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. David Bastos showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Felix Montenegro, who was totally free with the ball in the 27th minute. 33 minutes into the match, AM United's goal looked a bit too open when Daniel Zorita came free, but David Bastos reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 34 minutes into the match, AM United's goal looked a bit too open when Cristian Sancho came free, but David Bastos reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Daniel Zorita was the one to do the kick off. Cristian Sancho fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 52nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without David Bastos having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Teodoro Freire in the 72nd minute of play forced Ecuador's goalkeeper Julio Vera to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 74th minute the ball was on its way in behind Ecuador's goalkeeper Julio Vera, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Felix Montenegro fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 82nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without David Bastos having to interfere. 84 minutes into the match, Ecuador's Cristian Sancho sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that David Bastos narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Cristian Sancho recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 88th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Julio Vera made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Teodoro Freire in the 90th minute of play. Julio Vera took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Teodoro Freire, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Ecuador were unable to convert their possession into goals, allowing AM United to leave the ground with a draw.
