Spectators: 43 (Terracing: 33, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) Kentucky Fried Wings's Archie Greenwood started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. The supporters of Venezuela booed when Kentucky Fried Wings was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 4 match minutes in a wonderful position. Johnathon Cookson didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Eric Statham fell near the penalty area in the 9th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Kentucky Fried Wings's protests and gave Eric Statham a yellow card for diving instead. Eric Statham hit a great freekick 9 minutes into the match. In the 15th minute Tomas Illescas shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tomislav Strahija saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 15th minute, Tomas Illescas left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Venezuela fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-1. When Jonathan Venegas fell near the penalty area in the 18th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Venezuela's protests and gave Jonathan Venegas a yellow card for diving instead. After 17 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Venezuela! Venezuela:s Jonathan Ferrant showed great skill when he stopped Archie Greenwood:s penalty. If Archie Greenwood had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 20th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Jonathan Ferrant made a fantastic save in the 20th minute, when Archie Greenwood sent off a good shot on target. Patricio Costa fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 24th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Tomislav Strahija having to interfere. 25 minutes into the match, Kentucky Fried Wings's Archie Greenwood sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Jonathan Ferrant narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Archie Greenwood sent away a hard shot on goal in the 27th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 28th minute of the match, managed to save Venezuela from getting a goal against them. Kentucky Fried Wings's Jonny Fingers managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Guillermo Mariano in the 33 minute of the game. 36 minutes into the game, Tomas Illescas cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-2. Tomislav Strahija was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Matt Trueman fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 42nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jonathan Ferrant having to interfere. Kentucky Fried Wings's Archie Greenwood got a good chance for a goal in the 43rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The audience was convinced that Archie Greenwood's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Jonathan Ferrant was relentless in the 46th minute of the game. The Kentucky Fried Wings players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Venezuela were winning 1-2.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Tomas Illescas to make the kick off. In the 51st minute, Venezuela's Tomas Illescas dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-3. In the 54th minute Archie Greenwood shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jonathan Ferrant saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Archie Greenwood had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 56th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Jonathan Ferrant showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Archie Greenwood, who was totally free with the ball in the 58th minute. 61 minutes into the match, Venezuela's goal looked a bit too open when Archie Greenwood came free, but Jonathan Ferrant reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 63rd minute of the match, Tomas Illescas got a very nice opportunity to score, but Tomislav Strahija was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. Archie Greenwood blasted a shot towards the goal in the 69th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Jonathan Ferrant having to make a save. Tomas Illescas received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Tomislav Strahija came out and tried to block the shot, but Tomas Illescas slotted it home off the left post making it 1-4 in the 70th minute. Kentucky Fried Wings's Denzil Welsh managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Alex Chicote in the 74 minute of the game. Jonathan Ferrant didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Son van Basten went, in the 76th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-4 was the resulting score. The audience thought a goal was coming when Tomas Illescas got free with Tomislav Strahija in the 80th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. If Son van Basten had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 82nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. 82 minutes into the match, Venezuela's goal looked a bit too open when Son van Basten came free, but Jonathan Ferrant reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Patricio Costa in the 85th minute of play forced Kentucky Fried Wings's goalkeeper Tomislav Strahija to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Kentucky Fried Wings's Denzil Welsh quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Salvador Gisbert, made in the 87th minute of the game. Venezuela were awarded a corner in the 89th minute after Kentucky Fried Wings's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Tomas Illescas took the corner. The corner led Venezuela's Tomas Illescas to fire away a dangerous shot which Tomislav Strahija despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. When Venezuela's Salvador Gisbert in the 89th minute got a chance for a shot 89th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Kentucky Fried Wings's goalie prevented a goal. 92 minutes into the game, Alex Chicote was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Venezuela's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Kentucky Fried Wings the free kick. Alex Chicote hit a great freekick 92 minutes into the match. After some careless play in the Venezuela defense, Son van Basten kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Jonathan Ferrant. The Venezuela fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Jonathan Ferrant should have stopped the shot. The Venezuela supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Venezuela would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
