Chico Donato showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cristian Sancho, who was totally free with the ball in the 16th minute. Olivier Gilg might have been able to make a better finish in the 31st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Julio Vera. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Olivier Gilg ran back to his position shaking his head. An unexpectedly hard shot by Daniel Zorita in the 33rd minute of play forced DIPLOMATA FC PAB's goalkeeper Chico Donato to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Daniel Zorita in the 33rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Chico Donato prevented the ball from getting in the gole. When Ecuador's Daniel Zorita, in the 33rd minute, received a pass right in front of the net, it looked like a certain goal, but his shot went outside. A wasted opportunity for Ecuador. When Ecuador's Cristian Sancho in the 35th minute got a chance for a shot 35th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Daniel Zorita's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 68thth minute, Chico Donato skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Chico Donato made a fantastic save in the 76th minute, when Cristian Sancho sent off a good shot on target. Felix Montenegro's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Chico Donato firmly grabbed it by the left post. After a rather tough play, Ecuador's Primitivo Andino got a free kick in the 82nd minute. The DIPLOMATA FC PAB fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-2. Roberto Lopes received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 96th minute. Ecuador were disappointed that they only managed a draw, even though they felt themselves to be the better team.
