When the match had gone on for 26 minutes, Axel Ree took a quick shot and it went in 1-0 without a chance for Julio Vera to make any attempt to save it. In the 40thth minute of the game Axel Ree who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Ecuador's Julio Vera was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 42nd minute, Albinus Alking ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Julio Vera was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-0. Monks in Robes's Axel Ree got a good chance for a goal in the 47th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Daniel Zorita to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 54th minute Luis Andino shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Kristen Gulskov saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Daniel Zorita got free with Kristen Gulskov in the 73rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Fidel Havier kicked well hit freekick during the 74th minute of the match. In the 75th minute, Joachim Mæhle hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Monks in Robes's Kristen Gulskov proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 78th minute of the match, managed to save Monks in Robes from getting a goal against them. Daniel Zorita could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 79th minute of the match, but Kristen Gulskov made a huge save. After some careless play in the Ecuador defense, Axel Ree kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Julio Vera. The Ecuador fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Julio Vera should have stopped the shot. After 87 minutes of play, Monks in Robes's Axel Ree made it 4-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Fidel Havier was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 95th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. Many of Ecuador's supporters were seen to leave the ground early as it became clear their team was going to lose. Ecuador may have spent more time on the ball, but Monks in Robes were more willing to take their chances and they walked away with the win.
