Kristen Gulskov was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Joel Gaona in the 19th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Kristen Gulskov saved Monks in Robes from getting behind. The supporters of Monks in Robes booed when Mexico was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 21 match minutes in a wonderful position. Joel Gaona didn't get a good kick on the ball. When the match had gone on for 24 minutes, Axel Ree put it in 1-2 from a short distance just to the right of Dante Lacasa. 26 minutes into the match, Lautaro Mancebo notched a goal, 1-3, to the right of Monks in Robes's Kristen Gulskov. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 2-3.

Mexico's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
