The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Daniel Zorita was the one to do the kick off. Ecuador's supporters crossed their fingers, but Daniel Zorita was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 85th minute, Rebentala FC's Kléber Barbosa ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Julio Vera. Julio Vera yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-3. In the 88th minute, Daniel Zorita left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Ecuador fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-3. The throw-in from Camilo Gisbert in the 92nd minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Rebentala FC's Constantino Umbruso. The Rebentala FC supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Rebentala FC would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
