Monty Rogers sent away a hard shot on goal in the 5th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Doffes Damer's Gabriel Fanström played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Monty Rogers in the 8th minute of play. Cassius Byrne struck a weak shot in the 12th minute. Gabriel Fanström didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for USA. The audience thought a goal was coming when Monty Rogers got free with Gabriel Fanström in the 15th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Marco Day came out of the goal in the 18th minute to try and stop a shot by Doffes Damer's Inge Braa. But to his dismay, Inge Braa quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. Thanks to some nice moves Cassius Byrne could shoot a difficult shot in the 26th minute, which Gabriel Fanström however easily saved by the left post. Cassius Byrne who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 27thth minute tested the skills of Gabriel Fanström when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Gabriel Fanström took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Monty Rogers, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Marco Day showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Inge Braa in the 40th minute of the match. Jenson Smith made in the 43rd minute of the game a quick throw-in and Monty Rogers immediately put the ball in play. Inge Braa sent away a hard shot on goal in the 46th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Cassius Byrne to strike the kick off in the second half. Gabriel Fanström made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cassius Byrne in the 51st minute of play. Doffes Damer's Pier Kopacz got a good chance for a goal in the 52nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Greg Barrera sent away a hard shot on goal in the 53rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 63 minutes into the match, Doffes Damer's goal looked a bit too open when Cassius Byrne came free, but Gabriel Fanström reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cassius Byrne in the 65th minute of play forced Doffes Damer's goalkeeper Gabriel Fanström to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Inge Braa had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 66th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. 66 minutes into the match, USA's goal looked a bit too open when Inge Braa came free, but Marco Day reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. USA's Marco Day played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Inge Braa in the 68th minute of play. Inge Braa could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 71st minute of the match, but Marco Day made a huge save. Gabriel Fanström took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Monty Rogers, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. USA made a substitution. Khalid Parry replaced Monty Rogers. Doffes Damer made a substitution. Franco Baresi replaced Pier Kopacz. Doffes Damer's Andréas Stigsson was substituted for Greg Barrera. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Sam Campbell in the 81st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Gabriel Fanström prevented the ball from getting in the gole. USA's Marco Day played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ronaldo Cristi in the 83rd minute of play. Gabriel Fanström showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jenson Smith in the 91st minute of the match. In the 94th minute, Sam Campbell ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Gabriel Fanström was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-2.
