Spectators: 40 (Terracing: 31, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) Venezuela's Tomas Illescas started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. After 2 minutes, Alex Chicote mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Venezuela and the SE Palmeiras players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 3 played minutes Venezuela got a freekick which was hit by Alex Chicote. Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Abelardo Medeiros in the 4th minute of play. Patricio Costa struck a weak shot in the 6th minute. Will Muralhas didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Venezuela. Will Muralhas showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Tomas Illescas in the 9th minute of the match. Patricio Costa received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 11th minute. Will Muralhas tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a rather tough play, SE Palmeiras's Elivélton Valle got a free kick in the 27th minute. When Patricio Costa came up free with the goalie in the 37th minute, the Venezuela fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Patricio Costa couldn't finish the play. In the 40th minute of the game Natanael Paraense made a throw-in which Ian Cerezo played forward. After a rather tough play, Venezuela's Patricio Costa got a free kick in the 42nd minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Tomas Illescas in the 44th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Will Muralhas saved SE Palmeiras from getting behind. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Abelardo Medeiros to strike the kick off in the second half. Abelardo Medeiros blasted a shot towards the goal in the 52nd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Jonathan Ferrant having to make a save. 52 minutes into the match, SE Palmeiras's Abelardo Medeiros sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Jonathan Ferrant narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Tomas Illescas fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 54th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Will Muralhas having to interfere. Tomas Illescas hit a great freekick 57 minutes into the match. Tomas Illescas sent away a hard shot on goal in the 59th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Will Muralhas made a fantastic save in the 65th minute, when Tomas Illescas sent off a good shot on target. In the 66th minute, Christiano Baiano hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Tomas Illescas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 67th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 69 played minutes SE Palmeiras got a freekick which was hit by Natanael Paraense. The audience thought a goal was coming when Tomas Illescas got free with Will Muralhas in the 71st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 73rd match minute, SE Palmeiras was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Roberto Andrade to maneuver through the defense. Tomas Illescas sent away a hard shot on goal in the 76th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Tomas Illescas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 79th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Will Muralhas made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Patricio Costa in the 81st minute of play. Tomas Illescass short, quick shot in the 83rdth minute got Will Muralhas to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Venezuela's Tomas Illescas got a good chance for a goal in the 88th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The SE Palmeiras players were eager to celebrate when the final whistle sounded. They had somehow managed to win, even though the away team had held the majority of the possession.
