Lautaro Navarro showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Márcio Seabra in the 8th minute of the match. Tuncer İlbaşı struck a weak shot in the 10th minute. Lautaro Navarro didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Canarinho Atordoado. Lautaro Navarro made an important save on a dangerous shot by Luiz Leo in the 13th minute. 15 minutes into the game, Tuncer İlbaşı recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Lautaro Navarro. Tuncer İlbaşı showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 2-0. Lautaro Navarro didn't succeed to prevent the ball from going into goal when Canarinho Atordoado's Luiz Leo shot an unexpected shot in the crossbar's under edge and made 3-0 in the ordered_time% minute. 22 minutes into the match, Honduras's goal looked a bit too open when Luiz Leo came free, but Lautaro Navarro reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Sebastian Villa in the 23rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Dé Mello prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 25th minute, Márcio Seabra ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Lautaro Navarro was frozen by the shot and now it was 4-0. A hard shot 28 in the game by Luiz Leo from a close distance when the talented Lautaro Navarro managed to make a qualified save. Honduras's players were relieved. 30 minutes into the match, Honduras's goalkeeper Lautaro Navarro had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Luiz Leo. In the 31st minute Canarinho Atordoado were awarded a corner. Peter Mpenza went to the cornerflag to take it. After taking down the ball on Canarinho Atordoado's corner Márcio Seabra fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Lautaro Navarro quite easily take care of the ball. 34 minutes into the match, Honduras's goal looked a bit too open when Luiz Leo came free, but Lautaro Navarro reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. With an all-out effort, Canarinho Atordoado's Lautaro Navarro threw himself towards the right post 35 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Luiz Leo, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Lautaro Navarro stood somewhat misplaced when Luiz Leo came free in front of goal and shot 7-0 to the left of him in the 46 minute.
The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Edmundo Espiga stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. If Anísio Queirós had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 51st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Lautaro Navarro didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Teodoro Jacinto went, in the 57th minute, to the upper right corner, 9-0 was the resulting score. Peter Mpenza scored 10-0 in the 59th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Lautaro Navarro, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. An unexpectedly hard shot by Luiz Leo in the 65th minute of play forced Honduras's goalkeeper Lautaro Navarro to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 67th minute of the match Canarinho Atordoado got a corner. Honduras's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Peter Mpenza ran over to the corner to take the kick. 68 minutes into the match, Canarinho Atordoado's Peter Mpenza sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Lautaro Navarro narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Canarinho Atordoado's Igor de Salles managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Valentín Carvallo in the 70 minute of the game. In the 72nd minute, Peter Mpenza left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Canarinho Atordoado fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 11-0. If Peter Mpenza had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 77th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Peter Mpenza fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 79th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Lautaro Navarro having to interfere. The throw-in from Valentín Carvallo in the 81st minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Canarinho Atordoado's Lino Mota. Peter Mpenza's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Lautaro Navarro read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 85th minute of play. In the 87th minute Peter Mpenza shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Lautaro Navarro saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Peter Mpenza received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 90th minute. Lautaro Navarro tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Edmundo Espiga's late challenge caught a Canarinho Atordoado's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Edmundo Espiga helped the player get up and apologised.
