Ecuador's Felix Montes was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Şeray Rauf in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Julio Vera took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cemal Özgun, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 34th minute, Cemal Özgun left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The The Last Airbender fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-0. When Luis Andino fell near the penalty area in the 37th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Ecuador's protests and gave Luis Andino a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of The Last Airbender booed when Ecuador was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 38 match minutes in a wonderful position. Luis Andino didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cemal Özgun in the 38th minute of play forced Ecuador's goalkeeper Julio Vera to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The Last Airbender were awarded a corner in the 40th minute after Ecuador's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Ömür Himmet took the corner. The corner led The Last Airbender's Ömür Himmet to fire away a dangerous shot which Julio Vera despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Julio Vera made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ali Vedat Seyhun in the 42nd minute of play. Ferman Sıraç hit a great freekick 44 minutes into the match. After having played for 47 minutes, Cemal Özgun managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. The Last Airbender's supporters crossed their fingers, but Cemal Özgun was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The wind increased when Yavuzalp Mesut made the kick off in the second half. Cristian Sancho hit a great freekick 54 minutes into the match. Yavuzalp Mesut fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 55th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Julio Vera having to interfere. Cristian Sancho received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 65th minute. Şeray Rauf tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Yavuzalp Mesut in the 73rd minute of play forced Ecuador's goalkeeper Julio Vera to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Luis Andino struck a weak shot in the 74th minute. Şeray Rauf didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Ecuador. Julio Vera took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ali Vedat Seyhun, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Şeray Rauf made a fantastic save in the 80th minute, when Felix Montenegro sent off a good shot on target. 81 minutes into the match, Ecuador's goal looked a bit too open when Cemal Özgun came free, but Julio Vera reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The Last Airbender were awarded a corner in the 84th minute after Ecuador's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Ömür Himmet took the corner. Thanks to some nice moves Felix Montenegro could shoot a difficult shot in the 88th minute, which Şeray Rauf however easily saved by the left post. The Last Airbender's Şeray Rauf played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cristian Sancho in the 91st minute of play. The The Last Airbender players were eager to celebrate when the final whistle sounded. They had somehow managed to win, even though the away team had held the majority of the possession.
