In the 30th match minute, SE Palmeiras was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Abelardo Medeiros to maneuver through the defense. Will Muralhas made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Daniel Zorita in the 31st minute of play. In the 31st minute, Daniel Zorita left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Ecuador fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-2. Daniel Zorita sent away a hard shot on goal in the 38th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Will Muralhas showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Daniel Zorita in the 45th minute of the match. If Daniel Zorita had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 47th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-2.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Daniel Zorita stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. SE Palmeiras's Will Muralhas played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Luis Andino in the 51st minute of play. 52 minutes into the match, SE Palmeiras's goal looked a bit too open when Luis Andino came free, but Will Muralhas reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. With his leg Will Muralhas managed to avoid a goal in the 55thth minute, when Ecuador's Felix Montenegro fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. A collision led to SE Palmeiras getting a freekick after 62 minutes play. Alfredo Vieira hit a great ball. SE Palmeiras's Will Muralhas proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 67th minute of the match, managed to save SE Palmeiras from getting a goal against them. After 69 minutes of play, Ecuador's Cristian Sancho made it 0-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Will Muralhas was left in no man's land by his defense there! A hard shot 82 in the game by Agustín Saelices from a close distance when the talented Will Muralhas managed to make a qualified save. SE Palmeiras's players were relieved. Will Muralhas made a fantastic save in the 87th minute, when Felix Montenegro sent off a good shot on target. After a rather tough play, SE Palmeiras's João Vítor de Almeida got a free kick in the 94th minute. Ecuador played a much better game than SE Palmeiras and deserved their victory. The SE Palmeiras players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
