Spectators: 40 (Terracing: 31, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Abelardo Medeiros kicked off to start the match. Will Muralhas stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Francisco Seco's shot from short distance in the 7th minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Abelardo Medeiros got free with Joaquin Gayoso in the 11th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. When Francisco Seco came up free with the goalie in the 16th minute, the Uruguay fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Francisco Seco couldn't finish the play. 18 minutes into the match, SE Palmeiras's Abelardo Medeiros sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Joaquin Gayoso narrowly saved just below the crossbar. With a little luck, Uruguay's Joaquin Gayoso got control of the ball when Oswaldo Godoi tried to sneak it across the goal line. When SE Palmeiras's Abelardo Medeiros in the 26th minute got a chance for a shot 26th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Uruguay's supporters crossed their fingers, but Maximiliano Escribano was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 36 minutes into the game, Alfredo Vieira was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. SE Palmeiras's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Uruguay the free kick. Maximiliano Escribano received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 40th minute. Will Muralhas tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Abelardo Medeiros fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 44th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Joaquin Gayoso having to interfere. A collision led to Uruguay getting a freekick after 45 minutes play. Camilo Franco hit a great ball. In the 47th minute Abelardo Medeiros shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Joaquin Gayoso saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The throw-in from Ian Cerezo in the 51st minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Uruguay's Arturo Carvallo. SE Palmeiras's Will Muralhas proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 55th minute of the match, managed to save SE Palmeiras from getting a goal against them. Uruguay's attentive Arturo Carvallo managed to snatch the ball when Ian Cerezo made a throw-in in the 57th minute of the game. Christiano Baiano recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 59th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Abelardo Medeiros in the 60th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Joaquin Gayoso prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Will Muralhas was out of position in the 62 minute of play, and Francisco Seco capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Francisco Seco really showed his touch with that goal: 1-1. SE Palmeiras's Will Muralhas proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 65th minute of the match, managed to save SE Palmeiras from getting a goal against them. Will Muralhas made an important save on a dangerous shot by Francisco Seco in the 68th minute. Will Muralhas made a fantastic save in the 70th minute, when Maximiliano Escribano sent off a good shot on target. Will Muralhas took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Francisco Seco, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Uruguay's Francisco Seco got a good chance for a goal in the 78th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Will Muralhas made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Francisco Seco in the 86th minute of play. In the 88th minute, Abelardo Medeiros made a precise shot to the right of Joaquin Gayoso. Uruguay's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-1. SE Palmeiras's Will Muralhas proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 93rd minute of the match, managed to save SE Palmeiras from getting a goal against them. João Vítor de Almeida hit a great freekick 93 minutes into the match.
