Spectators: 45 (Terracing: 35, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) Rangers FC's Danny Gilespie started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. An unexpectedly hard shot by Danny Gilespie in the 2nd minute of play forced Bolivia's goalkeeper Camilo Freixa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Eduardo Fontirroig recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 13th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After 20 played minutes Bolivia got a freekick which was hit by Alejandro Villa. Camilo Freixa stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Danny Gilespie's shot from short distance in the 23rd minute. Angus Howison charged in rather forcefully in the 25th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Angus Howison the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Mario Fernandino received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 28th minute. Fergus Fairbairn tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 36th match minute, Bolivia was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Julio Chicote to maneuver through the defense. After 38 played minutes Rangers FC got a freekick which was hit by Tim Charles. Alfonso de la Cruz charged in rather forcefully in the 45th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Alfonso de la Cruz the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 45 played minutes Bolivia got a freekick which was hit by Alfonso de la Cruz. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Mario Fernandino made a kick off. Julio Chicote hit a great freekick 53 minutes into the match. In the 54th minute of the match Ronan McLaws sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Camilo Freixa skillfully saved the ball. Camilo Freixa made an important save on a dangerous shot by Danny Gilespie in the 61st minute. Mario Fernandino's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Fergus Fairbairn read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 66th minute of play. In the 71st match minute, Bolivia was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Joshua Miralles to maneuver through the defense. The supporters of Rangers FC booed when Bolivia was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 74 match minutes in a wonderful position. Alfonso de la Cruz didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Danny Gilespie in the 75th minute of play forced Bolivia's goalkeeper Camilo Freixa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A collision led to Bolivia getting a freekick after 79 minutes play. Joshua Miralles hit a great ball. The long shot by Ronan McLaws in the 80th minute really tested Camilo Freixa's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. 94 minutes had been played when some careless play by Bolivia's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Ronan McLaws was slow to take the kick. During this time Rangers FC's players had a chance to rest. Jeers came from both ends of the stadium when the final whistle went. Neither team had looked impressive and the draw seeemd a fair result.
