Rene Vereijt made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cassius Byrne in the 5th minute of play. Rene Vereijt showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Edward Mcdonald in the 13th minute of the match. Raphael Moore got a throw-in 14 minutes in the game and the ball was received by Raphael Moore. A collision led to FC Ouagadougou National getting a freekick after 20 minutes play. Riemer Ax hit a great ball. Rene Vereijt made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Edward Mcdonald in the 24th minute of play. USA's Marco Day proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 27th minute of the match, managed to save USA from getting a goal against them. Rene Vereijt took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jenson Smith, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 35th minute Edward Mcdonald shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rene Vereijt saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. FC Ouagadougou National's Rene Vereijt played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Edward Mcdonald in the 36th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cassius Byrne in the 38th minute of play forced FC Ouagadougou National's goalkeeper Rene Vereijt to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Rene Vereijt showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cassius Byrne in the 40th minute of the match. William Westelinx sent away a hard shot on goal in the 47th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when William Westelinx stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 51stth minute of the game Monty Rogers who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but FC Ouagadougou National's Rene Vereijt was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Rene Vereijt showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Monty Rogers in the 54th minute of the match. Rene Vereijt made an important save on a dangerous shot by Cassius Byrne in the 55th minute. Monty Rogers struck a weak shot in the 56th minute. Rene Vereijt didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for USA. FC Ouagadougou National's Rene Vereijt played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Monty Rogers in the 62nd minute of play. 64 minutes into the match, FC Ouagadougou National's goalkeeper Rene Vereijt had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Cassius Byrne. 64 minutes in the game, Cassius Byrne dribbled his way through the penalty area and after maneuvering past an opponent, drilled a quick shot at the goal. The ball looked like it was going in, but it was hit a bit too hard and flew over the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Monty Rogers in the 68th minute of play forced FC Ouagadougou National's goalkeeper Rene Vereijt to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Rene Vereijt took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Edward Mcdonald, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. With a little luck, FC Ouagadougou National's Rene Vereijt got control of the ball when Cassius Byrne tried to sneak it across the goal line. Thanks to some nice moves Cassius Byrne could shoot a difficult shot in the 84th minute, which Rene Vereijt however easily saved by the left post. Rene Vereijt came out of the goal in the 89th minute to try and stop a shot by USA's Cassius Byrne. But to his dismay, Cassius Byrne quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. USA made a substitution. Khalid Parry replaced Monty Rogers. FC Ouagadougou National's Jedrzej Kiszkiel was substituted for William Westelinx. USA's Marco Baker was substituted for Edward Mcdonald. FC Ouagadougou National's Abdulla Baia was substituted for Paolo Evis. When the match was over USA could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than FC Ouagadougou National throughout the match.
