If Joel Gaona had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 17th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Joel Gaona received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 18th minute. Michel van der Bij tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 20 minutes into the match, ISPARTASPOR U21's goal looked a bit too open when Joel Gaona came free, but Michel van der Bij reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Through an outstanding action, after 21 minutes, Michel van der Bij successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. An unexpectedly hard shot by Alfredo Gumaro in the 24th minute of play forced Mexico's goalkeeper Dante Lacasa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 24 minutes into the match, Alfredo Gumaro had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Dante Lacasa. Mexico's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Alfredo Gumaro was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. Joel Gaona received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 27th minute. Michel van der Bij tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Luca Zorita in the 30th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Michel van der Bij prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 33 minutes into the game, Igor Manex was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. ISPARTASPOR U21's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Mexico the free kick. After a rather tough play, ISPARTASPOR U21's Igor Manex got a free kick in the 33rd minute. Michel van der Bij was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Luca Zorita showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 2-1 in the 35 minute of play. In the 44th minute, Lautaro Mancebo ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Michel van der Bij was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-1. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 3-1 at half-time.

ISPARTASPOR U21's Michel van der Bij played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Lautaro Mancebo in the 51st minute of play. The Mexico fans' excitement grew in the 53rd match minute when Mexico's Joel Gaona looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 4-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. After a defensive mix-up in Mexico's zone, Olcay Tezkan stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Dante Lacasa came out of the goal and Olcay Tezkan tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Michel van der Bij didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Lautaro Mancebo went, in the 67th minute, to the upper right corner, 5-1 was the resulting score. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Olcay Tezkan in the 70th minute a chance for a shot on goal. In the 73rd minute Lautaro Mancebo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Michel van der Bij saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Alfredo Gumaro in the 76th minute of play forced Mexico's goalkeeper Dante Lacasa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 76thth minute of the game Alfredo Gumaro who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Mexico's Dante Lacasa was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Michel van der Bij showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Lautaro Mancebo in the 81st minute of the match. After 82 played minutes ISPARTASPOR U21 got a freekick which was hit by Aybar Gürçınar. In the 83rd match minute, ISPARTASPOR U21 was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Aybar Gürçınar to maneuver through the defense. In the 93rd minute, Joel Gaona made a precise shot to the right of Michel van der Bij. ISPARTASPOR U21's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 7-1. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Mexico fully deserved thier win.
