Tony Löv made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cristian Sancho in the 8th minute of play. Tony Löv took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cristian Sancho, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 11th minute of the match Ecuador got a corner. Bicicleta F.C.'s goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Daniel Zorita ran over to the corner to take the kick. Tony Löv took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cristian Sancho, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Gregorio Abalos hit a great freekick 22 minutes into the match. Daniel Zorita's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Tony Löv read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 23rd minute of play. The supporters of Ecuador booed when Bicicleta F.C. was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 27 match minutes in a wonderful position. Javier Gagriel didn't get a good kick on the ball. 28 minutes into the match, Ecuador's Daniel Zorita sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Tony Löv narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Luis Andino sent away a hard shot on goal in the 30th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 32nd minute Daniel Zorita shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tony Löv saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Cristian Sancho came up free with the goalie in the 35th minute, the Ecuador fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Cristian Sancho couldn't finish the play. If Antoine Griezmann had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 36th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Tony Löv made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Daniel Zorita in the 38th minute of play. Tony Löv took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cristian Sancho, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Julio Vera showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Segundo Feliu, who was totally free with the ball in the 45th minute. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Segundo Feliu to make the kick off. In the 52ndth minute of the game Segundo Feliu who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Ecuador's Julio Vera was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Ecuador's Julio Vera played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Segundo Feliu in the 53rd minute of play. Julio Vera showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Segundo Feliu in the 57th minute of the match. Bicicleta F.C. made a substitution. Eleuterio Sotil replaced Andreas Arendt. Daniel Zorita came free with the goalkeeper in the 69th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Tony Löv could save by the left post. After 71 minutes Bicicleta F.C.'s defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Daniel Zorita who took care of the corner kick. Bicicleta F.C.'s Hüsmen Vahat was substituted for Lucas Basualdo. In the 72nd minute, Agustín Saelices hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When Segundo Feliu came up free with the goalie in the 75th minute, the Bicicleta F.C. fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Segundo Feliu couldn't finish the play. Segundo Feliu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 77th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Julio Vera having to interfere. Bicicleta F.C. made a substitution. Bernardino Edwardo replaced Gregorio Abalos. After having played for 87 minutes, Segundo Feliu managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Bicicleta F.C.'s supporters crossed their fingers, but Segundo Feliu was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Hüsmen Vahat struck a weak shot in the 93rd minute. Julio Vera didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Bicicleta F.C.. In the 94th match minute, Ecuador was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Luis Andino to maneuver through the defense. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Bicicleta F.C. had won after a very even match.
