Jonathan Ferrant made a fantastic save in the 17th minute, when Hermínio Lendaa sent off a good shot on target. In the 18th match minute, Goth Cloudy Experience was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Acácio Leal to maneuver through the defense. 22 minutes into the match, Venezuela's goal looked a bit too open when Acácio Leal came free, but Jonathan Ferrant reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Jonathan Ferrant stood somewhat misplaced when Acácio Leal came free in front of goal and shot 2-0 to the left of him in the 24 minute. After 31 minutes Goth Cloudy Experience's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Tomas Illescas who took care of the corner kick. Venezuela's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Tomas Illescas in the 33rd minute. Venezuela's Tomas Illescas was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Agostinho Martins in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. In the 34th minute, Guillermo Mariano hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 45th minute, Nelson Medeiros got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 3-0.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Acácio Leal made a kick off. Patricio Costa recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 51st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 54 minutes into the game, one of Venezuela:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Jonathan Ferrant had in the 56thth minute some difficulties stopping Mané Nóbrega's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. Hermínio Lendaa charged in rather forcefully in the 57th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Hermínio Lendaa the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Hermínio Lendaa hit a great freekick 57 minutes into the match. In the 60th minute, Hermínio Lendaa left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Goth Cloudy Experience fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 4-0. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Jose Correa during the 65th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 66th minute, Acácio Leal left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Goth Cloudy Experience fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 5-0. Hermínio Lendaa received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 70th minute. Jonathan Ferrant tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The supporters of Venezuela booed when Goth Cloudy Experience was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 77 match minutes in a wonderful position. Severino Favoretto didn't get a good kick on the ball. Venezuela's Patricio Costa got a good chance for a goal in the 79th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The audience was convinced that Hermínio Lendaa's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Jonathan Ferrant was relentless in the 81st minute of the game. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Hermínio Lendaa in the 81st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Jonathan Ferrant prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After a defensive mix-up in Venezuela's zone, Hermínio Lendaa stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jonathan Ferrant came out of the goal and Hermínio Lendaa tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 90 minutes into the match, Acácio Leal notched a goal, 7-0, to the right of Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant. Jonathan Ferrant was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it.
