After some fancy dribbling in the 5th minute, Jaime Pardo managed to get in a good position for a shot. Paraguay's supporters rose to their feet, but Jaime Pardo was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Jacek Gdowik thought of kicking away a contribution in front of goal but messed it up so badly that the ball went to the right of an astonished Radomil Ludwiczak, a very annoying self made goal in the 10th minute which led to 0-1. After a rather tough play, KKS Lech Poznań's Gilbert Raflewski got a free kick in the 12th minute. If Jaime Pardo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 13th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 16th minute, Jaime Pardo got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. KKS Lech Poznań's Aureliusz Marchefka got a good chance for a goal in the 21st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 24th minute of the game. One of Paraguay:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of KKS Lech Poznań:s goal. Radomil Ludwiczak showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Hector Covarrubias in the 32nd minute of the match. In the 34th minute, Jedrzej Rudy got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Jaime Pardo in the 36th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Radomil Ludwiczak prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Jaime Pardo hit a great freekick 39 minutes into the match. Aureliusz Marchefka sent away a hard shot on goal in the 41st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Aureliusz Marchefka's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Jacobo Nores firmly grabbed it by the left post. Aureliusz Marchefka could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 47th minute of the match, but Jacobo Nores made a huge save. The KKS Lech Poznań players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Paraguay were winning 0-2.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Jaime Pardo stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Aureliusz Marchefka hit a great freekick 51 minutes into the match. Neither set of supporters seemed pleased with the draw, but both teams had played equally well today.
