With a couple of smart ball manuevers Danny Gilespie in the 10th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Demonde Jacobson saved Jamaica from getting behind. Demonde Jacobson took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Danny Gilespie, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a rather tough play, Rangers FC's Ronan McLaws got a free kick in the 14th minute. Fergus Fairbairn showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Karlus Waugh, who was totally free with the ball in the 16th minute. Rangers FC's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Karlus Waugh 20 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 1-0. Jamaica's Demonde Jacobson played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Danny Gilespie in the 33rd minute of play. In the 35th minute, Ronan McLaws hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 37th minute, Karlus Waugh got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Jamaica's Demonde Jacobson played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ron McLeish in the 39th minute of play. In the 40th minute, Ron McLeish made a precise shot to the right of Demonde Jacobson. Jamaica's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-1. In the 44th minute Danny Gilespie shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Demonde Jacobson saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Karlus Waugh in the 46th minute of play forced Rangers FC's goalkeeper Fergus Fairbairn to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The wind increased when Finlay Stair made the kick off in the second half. Finlay Stair kicked well hit freekick during the 51st minute of the match. In the 64th minute, Finlay Stair ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Fergus Fairbairn was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-1. Romon Oliver kicked well hit freekick during the 67th minute of the match. The long shot by Ronan McLaws in the 69th minute really tested Demonde Jacobson's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. Finlay Stair's late challenge caught a Rangers FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Finlay Stair helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Rangers FC booed when Jamaica was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 74 match minutes in a wonderful position. Finlay Stair didn't get a good kick on the ball. Demonde Jacobson showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ron McLeish, who was totally free with the ball in the 76th minute. In the 89th minute Ron McLeish shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Demonde Jacobson saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The final whistle blew with the score still tied, and both teams left the pitch thinking about the missed chances that could have given their team the win.
